Abstract

The study aimed to identify the impact of management information systems (MIS) on strategic performance in public and private Yemeni universities. The study population consisted of academic and administrative leaders in public and private Yemeni universities, totaling (1007) individuals. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach and utilized a comprehensive census method, with questionnaires as the tool for data collection. Data were statistically analyzed using the SPSS program. The study revealed a statistically significant impact of management information systems on strategic performance in the universities under study. It was also revealed that the level of strategic performance achievement in private universities was higher than in public universities. Additionally, the results showed that private universities demonstrated greater overall interest in management information systems compared to public universities across individual dimensions. The study recommends that both public and private Yemeni universities should pay attention to management information systems and strategic performance, with a focus on utilizing modern technologies in management information systems to enhance and achieve their strategic performance.
