Impact of Critical Success Factors on Organizational Performance: A Field Study of Yemeni Banks

This study aimed to determine the impact of critical success factors (CSFs) on the organizational performance (OP) of Yemeni banks. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, and the population included (1,973) employees working in the leadership and supervisory positions at Yemeni banks. A stratified random sample of (322) individuals was selected, and data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to the study sample. The number of valid questionnaires received was (281). The data were entered, coded, and analyzed using the SPSS 28 software. The study findings revealed a significant direct impact of CSFs, in all their dimensions, on OP of Yemeni banks. However, no impact was found for the dimensions of (human resources and organizational culture) on OP. Additionally, the study findings showed that level of OP was high in Yemeni banks across all dimensions of the Balanced Scorecard. Furthermore, CSFs were also found to be high in Yemeni banks across all of their dimensions. Based on the results, the study recommended the identification and analysis of CSFs in all their dimensions in Yemeni banks, tailored to each bank, and working to enhance them as part of their overall strategies. It also recommended incorporating these factors into strategic planning to ensure the improvement of OP in the banking market. Moreover, the study recommended continuing to adopt the Balanced Scorecard as a main tool for measuring OP in Yemeni banks.
